Vivid / Slack originated from the idea of reviving a technical object shortly before being disposed of. In the video the spectator is confronted with macro filmed material of a broken LCD display. By breaking the display and shifting fluid crystals, the screen is deconstructed and reconfigured as an organic entity. This leaves the viewer to decide if he wants to see the video as either the last vital signs of a technical interface or as the first signs of life of an unknown (and possibly fictitious) biologic lifeform.
