The main tank called the "Kuroshio Sea" holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept amongst many other fish species in the main tank.

A Big Thanks to you Jon Rawlingson you do make a point with this Vimeo, not only is it beautiful and astonishing, but just think if these FisH were the last on earth!!

    -- -- --

Oh Ya I sure loved it too, I have watched it about 7 times now, and shared it with all the ppl i can think of, It's so amazing, and fill me up with a totally positive energy, the color and the sharpness, makes your brain Tingle hehe yep just amazing, what's even more interesting with this place is, That i watched the building of it, on national geographic channel called mega structures..

And yes Jon we need to take better Care of the ocean, But as we all know, it all hangs together, so we need too take better care of the Earth and all the living things on it , starting right now, even the small things can have a big impact, good or bad, I vote for the Good..

But even me writing here is costing Co2. so i might as well stop now..

WuoooahhH!! That's what I call massive. I'd be too scared to tap onto that 60cm glass. I dove the shark tank in Singapore and helped the feedings. I'm curious how often they go in there for these big boys! And planktons??

Thats an amazing fish tank Jon. I was going to comment on Japanese Whaling but I have bitten my tongue.

Your camera position shows the awesome scale of this tank. Very impressive mate.

P.S.... Too bad it's over for our Mother Earth in five years or so... There's so much fresh water entering the oceans from melting glaciers, the plankton cannot absorb enough calcium for their exoskeleton... They are 20% gone and responsible for 70% of the earth's breathable oxegen.... Breathe deeply... Soon gone...
