This is the animatic we made for the music video of Pyramid Song by Radiohead. The majority is little more than a moving storyboard, but it also incorporates rendering tests in the middle and at the end, which were intended to show the band how the finished video might look.
Working this way with sketches and simple moves allowed us to quickly block out the action and edit before starting the laborious animation process.
Fun Fact: The water tile at the start was pinched from the late 90's PC game "Duke Nukem 3D".
