"The Swing of Things" was made in Fall 2012, in memory of my grandfather Al Rabinowitz - who passed away in December 2005 from ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). He absolutely loved the music and dancing of the swing era, but unfortunately towards the end of his life his illness left him unable to dance, or even smile. The thought of someone being unable to do what they loved really moved me, and so when I found an old picture of him swing dancing I felt compelled to bring to life the world of swing dance that my grandfather loved so much. I like to think that his silly swing dance moves live on through "The Swing of Things." I hope you'll help me share my grandfather's legacy by sharing this film with the world. :)

Making "The Swing of Things" was a very special experience for me. If you'd like to learn more about the making of it, check out this unbelievably flattering article published by NYU Local:
