I consider my computer generated animated video pieces to be motion paintings. They are silent, HD resolution, seamless loops that are one minute in duration. The compositions are based on very simple structures that act as a container for the action and painterly visual incident within the frame.
These pieces share a common visual language with the work I produce using traditional media such as the drawings or paintings on paper and canvas. The forms and compositional structures are developed using a computer employing commonly used drawing and animation software as well as high end 3d animation tools that are used in big budget Hollywood films.
