Sweep is a dance, for dance’s sake, inspired by the transcriptions for string quartet, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, of five fugues from “The Well Tempered Clavier”, K405 by J.S. Bach. The separate sections of the piece deal with the physical action of movement, that falls and rebounds, and emotions, that ebb and flow. The movements follow the tempo and character of the individual musical variations, and are precise, technical exercises in modern. This recorded performance is from Room To Move Dance's Amalgam Concert May 2012, at Fabrefaction Theatre, Atlanta Georgia. Principal choreography by Amy Gately. Additional Choreography by Susanna Green
