Dispositions/Consumé appeared in the Machol Shalem Festival, Jerusalem in 2008. The piece peals back the skin on photographs taken in the streets of Amsterdam by renown photographer Theo Niekus. The energetic 'shadows' behind Niekus' brilliantly candid public space 'moments' appear in front of the projection screen.
The trio's choreography re-inscribes the enigmatic encounter with Otherness into the framework of the production of 'the couple', thereby linking the 'couples' ideal of subjective sovereignty to that of the public space emcounter.
Swantje Schaeuble, Matthew Kelly Roman and Peter Cseri interpret this demanding performance which crosses improvisation, instant composition and modern dance. Supported by the Nederlands Fonds voor de Podium Kunst and realized at the Dansateliers Rotterdam.
