Arvi Perttu reads the excerpts from his novel "Papanin's Expedition"

In 2012, Arvi Perttu's best-selling novel has withstood the second edition in Finland where it was originally published. At the same time, the first Russian translation of this book was presented at the end of the same year.

This video features the author's recitation of two short excerpts from his book , which was presented at the international conference "The Years that Changed the World: Reflecting on the Russian-American Past and Framing the Future" (Washington, DC. December 16 - 17, 2012).

The English translation (by Natalia Krylova) is based on the Russian text of the novel.
