This is a video I made at the start of my photography project entiled "Escapism".
This is a mixture of stop motion and film and depicts a girl in her absolute element, cycling. To get this concept I asked a friend what she liked to do to escape everything that goes on in her life and she chose cycling. Her bike is so amazing and adorable it was great to film. I followed her on a bike ride and filmed and photographed the hour long experience.
The criticism I have received is that it is too much like a music video rather than a fine art film. I chose the music before I had even started filming because for me it was exactly what I wanted so this may have effected my choice of shots.
