How to achieve a stop motion look on an animated object, or any number of objects with any number of animated attributes.
Here in Maya, I am using the powerful animation baking and some curve interpolation functions to achieve the stuttering stop-motion effect.
I use a dynamically simulated set of rigid bodies in this example, but you can use this technique on any kind of attribute with changing values over time. This can be a set-driven attribute, expression driven attribute, or good old manually key-framed attribute.
Hope you find it useful :)
