Behind the whole project there is a self invented narrative about an unexpectedly appearing and fast circulating little black box which is able to speak out everyone's thoughts; consequently, all of a sudden every hidden and not vocalized secret has come to light. Its activity generated chaos in the whole world; societies got paralyzed by strikes and desperate anarchic movements. After long investigations and demanding fights, scholars realized its mechanism and as a solution they developed an advanced human understanding that was not based on language; as a result language and verbal thoughts have been eradicated completely from the world. This is the time where the choreography takes place. The background story is represented by a comic book and an animation film that are specially made for this project.
The performance attempts to experiment with different cognitive possibilities in a field where verbal language is well known and is constantly used. The aim of the project One Day with Them is to provide alternatives to mental representations (verbal language included) and to construct a mental state that, as an alternative to language thoughts and processes, enables us to make decisions, understand situations and interpret informations in an other level.
