More experimenting with my D90. Spend a few days in Sunriver, Oregon and I let the camera go all night, two nights in a row. Sigma 10-20mm, 30 second exposures, ISO 3200.

We only see about one in a hundred of those stars due to lazy light pollution in England, it's been decades since I've been priviliged to see the Milky Bar as it is know over here.

    They're on me!

Looks really good at 3200, I really need to upgrade my D200, I'd like to get the D700s once it comes out. The D90 looks sweet at high ISO, how do you like the Sigma 10-20mm?

I love the 10-20, it's not the sharpest lens but the wideness is awesome. Someday I'll get myself a faster wide angle for these night shots so I don't have to go so high with the ISO.

I am looking into buying a D90 what lens would you recommend to start out with for just general photography and video?

Stick with the kit lens until you get things figured out.
