Curious City: How much of the Field Museum’s collection is actually on display?

Curious Citizen James Kowalski, from Beverly, asked how many items are in the Field Museum's collection and, of those, how many are on display at any given time.

That number is pretty astonishing - just see for yourself. Also in this video: we meet up with Alan Francisco, who's the Collections Coordinator for the Field Museum's anthropology department. He gives us a tour of the oversized storage archive underneath the museum. You'll see some pretty amazing artifacts which will never make it to the museum's public space.
