"How it would be, if a house was dreaming"

The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers "Galerie der Gegenwart". Resultant permeabilty of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.

Does anybody else hear the crowd sound effects from Roller Coaster Tycoon? Or is that jus me?
  • urbanscreen plus 2 years ago
there was a band playing close to the place so we had problems using the original sound of the event in full length.
We used parts of the original crowd sounds and added atmosphere of a sound library.
unfortunately these sounds were also used by a game developer - as you all seemed to notice. We are working on changing this.
  • Mike Nottebrock 2 years ago
Yeah, I realized some sounds were used a coupple of times... It would't be that striking if that little kid wouldn't mention those 'fireworks' again and again. But anyway, a beautiful performance! Thank you.

  • Mike Nottebrock 2 years ago
Not only smart - that doesnt't do the trick... You have to love what you're doing. Just one of those gazillion keys to success.

    Wow! Absolutely amazing!
Is it real or is it a concept? How can this be projected in real life?
  • Mike Nottebrock 2 years ago
This was projected 'in real life'... Just imagine the beamer they must've used for this one. Urbanscreen specialized on projecting HQ-Video/Animation performances on 'large' screens.

you did a good job on this even though some of the sound was taken from Roller Coaster Tycoon haha
(the recognizable sounds are around 2:15) :P

I'm not saying the brick sounds...just the background crowd ambience. The visuals were stunning to say the least!
