A quick call the day asking us to create an Ad for Kmart in Guam. Having lived in Japan and Southeast Asia for a long time I forgot how much variety and items can be contained under one roof. They literally have everything from motor oil to Maybeline mascara.
I cam up with the idea to lock a 5D onto a shopping cart with an intravalometer and do a time lapse while slowly pushing the cart and bring the various products up to the lens. At first my motion was way to fast and I had to adjust for 25 shots for 1 second.
I think if I had more time I would have love to play with the element of stop motion by stacking and unstacking the shelves, mixing up the cereal boxes to make different patterns and words. Next time.
