The December Med School Café lecture featured Dr. Ehab Molokhia, associate professor of family medicine at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.

His lecture, titled “The Patient Centered Medical Home,” took place Dec.18, 2012, at the USA Faculty Club on USA’s main campus. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., and the presentation begins at noon.

Dr. Molokhia lectured on the role of the primary care physician in coordinating health care. During the talk he included information on patient centered medical homes, a team-based model of care led by a personal physician who provides continuous and coordinated care throughout a patient's lifetime to maximize health outcomes.
