The Bootleg Canyon Down hill race near Las Vegas and Lake Mead. The Race put on on by "Downhill Mike" features top US and European racers, featuring First and Second place Dan, and Gee Atherton. All of the footage in the race was hand held using a camera rig I built. Except for a few lockoffs the rig alows me to place it on a rock and use the small head to do lock offs. The color correction looks awesome prior to upload. I really wish I could share that quality with you but, we are not there yet. I am sure not too far in the future we will see 12bit full raster 60p HD online also see the trailer at

    Ilustrator and after effects the concept is a vector image seq that you can scale in 2.5d space

    Andrew, I'm sure the video looks great but the compression you had to use in order to get the entire 26minute clip within Vimeo's size requirements has butchered your quality. I'd recommend chopping it into two 13 minute clips instead.
    I can't believe this location is right in my backyard and I've never been out there. I do a little mountain biking but nothing competitive. Looks like a sweet spot.

    Ya did that with Fontana still not happy with compresion. I used some blurs in the color correction the look crappy here. Also the bit depth on bright areas of frame lost all detail. Just lessons to keep in mind when grading for H.264 to flash the H.264.MOV on the desktop still looks good it is once Vimeo converts it.

    Andy - I love the long range shots - makes the riders look like little matchbox sized toys. Although the video quality isn't so good at that distance, I really loved those shots!

    Also - what's your music playlist? Love it!

    Music is really just what I can find on old CD's cannot use an Itunes download the 2 songs everlast. then linkn park. The video quality is good but going from a gig file to 800Mb tosses out the quality and the blur effect gets all screwed up/ Hey thanks Andy love your input!
