To celebrate the completed restoration of Tokyo Station Marunouchi Building, the station itself, reborn in all its original glory, formed a screen 120m wide and 30m high, for a spectacular show of high-definition computer graphics rendered by Projection Mapping. Under the theme “A Journey Beyond Space and Time”, young and spirited visual artists vividly illustrated the 100 year history of Tokyo Station and its railway. Using 46 super high brightness projectors and carried out on the largest scale ever seen in this country at the time, this event celebrated new developments in accurate simulation models, original systems, and color compensating filters.
