This was funny....and true! Too few people realize the importance of sysadmins. "What do you do, really!?"

About 4 months after I was released from one position about 10 years ago (where I helped to manage 25 macs & 100 pcs) a friend who still worked there told me that they had encountered errors and viruses a few weeks after I left - and someone had the nerve to BLAME me for planting something before I left. They didn't understand that an unmanaged network it like a garden without a gardener. It will be pretty for a while, but the weeds will ultimately win and the garden will die.
