In the wide plain between Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), Uruguay and Argentina there is an ecosystem with natural features that are unique in the world, the Pampa biome.
The Pampa environment is fragile. A heavy threat to its bio-diversity is the green desert: monocultivations of clonated exotic trees (eucalyptus, pine and acacia) that are planted by the cellulose multinational companies in hundreds of thousands of acres. The landscape has resulted devastated.
