Just a few weeks from new, my D700 reveals a defect in its LCD monitor which seems to appear in the form of a blue, vertical line near the left-hand edge after the camera has been taking shots for 20 minutes or so.
This blue line overlays anything displayed on the LCD monitor including images, menu items and even when there's no memory card in the camera.
To recreate this defect, I set up interval shooting to shoot 1 frame every minute. After 20 minutes or so, the blue line becomes visible.
