Although no one knows its exact origins, Lewisham Market has been selling fresh produce and sundries to local residents for well over a hundred years. One of the most vibrant markets in London, shoppers can find fresh fruit and vegetables for only £1 per large bowl. The cries of the vendors begin to increase towards the end of the day when many items are discounted further. This short video features interviews with two long-time vendors about their products and the changing face of the market over the years. All audio recored on board with RodeMic Pro. Not bad!
