I've been getting back into Cinema 4D at late. With the new Camera Tracker in After Effects CS6 I wondered how easy it would be to track live footage and get it into C4D.

So this is some footage I shot on the Canon 6D.
I made a rough HDR probe at the location using Photosynth on the iPhone for the reflections and lighting.
The camera was solved in AE.
The 3D is done in Cinema 4D.

Back in After Effects I faked a shadow (I really need to figure out how to render out a shadow map. Anyone?)
I then cooked up some Particular snow and colored using Magic Bullet Looks. There's also some RSMB to add the motion blur.

All in all it was a bit of a fiddle but I think I've nailed a workflow for a more challenging concept.
