It's not about replacing one mommy with a better original mommy. The adoptees experience is about needing to know your roots and they type of people or "tribe" that you come from. Once you know your "tribe" you can better understand yourself and your own journey.

As an adoptee who has found her birth family, it wasn't about replacement, but self knowledge.

As a mother of adopted children, it is my duty to help those kids understand the best qualities of their birth family and the birth family roots. Herritage, family roots, generational genetic gifts and "tribe" all matter more than who is kissing the boo boo. A kiss doesn't make to boo boo go away.
