12/12/12 was a public holiday (Neutrality Day) in Turkmenistan. It was unusually rainy and cold day, and people preferred to stay home. However, this day presented us with a great opportunity to show the rhythm of the capital city of Ashgabat in bad weather. So, I and my friend went out to shoot some sights of Ashgabat that on other occasions would be crowded with many visitors and guests of the city. Those buildings and facilities have not lost their grandeur even in such weather conditions. Here you can see the Arch of Neutrality, symbolizing the neutral status of the country, the world`s largest flag pole, the Monument to Independence, the Presidential Palace, the Marriage Palace and etc. This was one of the rare occasions when these splendid facilities had no other visitors than rare passers-by and us filming those moments.
