Snare is a short, light horror film that I worked on for my final project on a 4 week course at the New York Film Academy in the summer of 2012.
The action follows a man who goes for a job interview in a mysterious hotel, but he soon finds that the hotel serves an insidious purpose.
Shot on an Arri S 16mm camera
There are some shots that I am unhappy with. For Example, when the interviewee exits the elevator, there are 2 or 3 shots that were poorly exposed and completely confusing, in my opinion it completely degrades the flow of the action.
On the other hand, I feel other shots came out really well. The following shots after the elevator exit sequence in which the interviewee walks down the corridor with the window at the end have good contrast and I was happy with my decision to go hand-held with an over-the-shoulder perspective.
