Reinventing Options for Adolescents Deserving Success (ROADS) Charter High Schools are specifically designed to serve students at the highest risk of failing to complete high school: those who are over-age and under-credited and have an additional risk factor such as criminal court involvement, homelessness, or involvement in the foster care system. ROADS’ mission is to ensure that all students – especially those who are most at risk of failure – graduate from high school thoroughly prepared to excel academically, professionally, and personally. In August 2012, ROADS opened two new high schools, one in East New York, Brooklyn and one in the South Bronx serving a total of 300 students.
