Aww I see! Unfortunately at the moment I am a struggling, penniless student so a point and shoot is the only camera in my price range. Do you know of any good quality cameras that aren't complete "break the bank" models?

Ohh that would be awesome! Well, I guess I'd be able to spend around £200. Haha, that's probably not a lot at all, is it? The camera that I have just now is a point and shoot and it's good. The quality of photos, I'm happy with. The videos aren't HD though. & I think I'd like one that was. I guess my price range isn't enough for HD.
Another thing that I really dislike about my camera is that, when I do shoot videos on it, I'm unable to zoom.

You might want to look into the Kodak Zi6. It's a pocket cam that runs for about $130. It shoots in 720P HD and also does 60fps. I have a video on vimeo called "After The Rain" and "Last Recording Upon Eager eyes" or something like that...and those were shot with it.

Other pocket cams that shoot in HD are the Flip, and even the canon and casio point and shoots shoot HD now and those aren't took expensive either. :-)

Okay wonderful, I just had a look at both of those videos and they seem to be of GOOD quality.
The price shocked me a bit too actually. I see that you told me the price is a small $130 which is excellent as it only works out at around £79 and I said my budget was £200. Thanks a lot for your help and great suggestions. I'll let you know what I decide to do. Take care. <3

Nikon has incredible optics and the colors are really vibrant..it may also have something to do with the fact that the depth of field is incredibly shallow because the aperture (opening) of the lens is F1.2 (very very wide)..meaning the area that is in focus is very narrow. :) Thanks Iris!
