Ok, ok, I know what you're thinking. This spot is kinda ugly. I agree, but this is the kind of stuff SC liked back then (maybe still as far as I know?) But this spot was one of the first that was completely mine, and I think I managed to do a couple good things with it! I knew from the start that it was a low budget graphics spot intended to notify consumers of store openings and associated sales, so that meant two things: Lots of supers and logos (ugh! insta-fugly) and the need for things to be easily interchangeable. So, taking my inspiration from the White Stripes Seven Nation Army music video I suggested focusing on the motion of the spot, which I think is really interesting and holds your focus on the message.
