This clip was a music video assignment from Mr. Jonah Gray, our instructor in our high school Radio & Television class in late 1984. Shot entirely in Eric Brown's garage, using Sony's then-state of the art DXC1800 pro video cam and recorded & edited in the long-obsolete Beta I videocassette format (and since transferred to shitty consumer-grade VHS), this video marked our discovery of colored gels to use with our lighting rig, only one of which caught on fire. The song, 'Star,' was nicked from David Bowie's LP "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars," which I introduced to Eric that year.
