3. Sonic Ecosystem #2:001
An updated run of the sonic ecosystem model. This installation is currently running in quadrophonic at Frankston Art Gallery, Victoria, Australia. A population of sonic agents is constantly evolving in an environment derived from the sounds they produce. This is predominantly a sonic installation artwork, the graphics are used to present information about the changing population. The vertical lines show agent's age (x-axis), health (height) and feature spread (thickness). Numbers indicate 'sound species', circles in the middle indicate the state of each agent's neural net, and the dots at the bottom show the sound levels. Multiple species coinhabit the world, which is constantly changing due to the instability of the interacting population.
