5D MII & 70-300mm
Canon 5D Mark II and a Nikon 70-300 mm f4-5.6 G-AF.
The apterture was blocked with a peice of paper at f5.6
The lack of IS and follow focus makes even a tripod shot look shaky while handeling the lens.
A Nikon ai to EOS mount was used in this video to attach the lens.
Note: I realized that my adapter is not holding the lens as tight to the body as it should.
Please get the best adapter you can, this is a real problem at longer forcal lenghts.
Test includes:
- Zooming
- Paning
- Focusing
- 300mm DOF at F5.6
- Handheld shot at 300mm
Video exported in 720p

If your are on a budjet and you really want to reach 300mm I guess this is the cheapest alternative for you. This test should be pretty similar to what you will get with a canon lens. I would love to see is a IS lens would compensate for the tiny 300mm shake.
