Period 1 of the second transatlantic UK Derby Bout.
A great game with a lot of heart!

The Canadian team was comprised of skaters from across Canada who formed a team, organized fund raising to help pay for the trip, but who did not meet as a team until they reached the UK. They trained together for the first time two days before their bout in Glasgow against GRG June 6th. The Canadian team not only had a full complement of skaters but also included coach, announcer, refs and various derby widows. Team Canada Played played against the London Roller Girls ( June 7th ) and the Birmingham Blitz Derby Dames ( June 13th ). The trip was the Roller Derby organizational equivalent of landing a man on the moon.
