Bill Ward and I put the boat in the water early Monday morning, January 21st, to chase schooled up redfish with fly rods at low tide. Sunny skies and 45 degrees and rising, no wind, beautiful morning. We poled onto the first flat and almost immediately saw fish pushing water and tailing. Bill hooked up on the 1st cast. After landing a nice 26in redfish, we switched positions in the boat, and he poled for a little while while I fished. I ended up convincing one to eat within just a few minutes. We changed roles again, moved to another flat, and Bill landed 2 more nice fish, the last over 30 inches. We also had an interesting run-in with 2 porpoise in a small creek in only about a foot and a half of water. We ended up with 4 fish caught on fly, pretty good mornin'. Certainly better than the office! Enjoy the footage...
