About 6 years ago, I stopped shooting as an artistic expression. A few nights ago, the snow started falling. I started out simply testing the night-time capabilities of my new Canon 5d Mark iii and my new 70-200 f 2.8 zoom.

As I was shooting, I began to remember why I shot film and video in the first place. Last night the snow started falling again, but this time, my shooting was about capturing the beauty of the moment. The shots are a little rough in spots because I'm a little "rusty" in my shooting technique - but for me, I feel like I'm coming home to a love I had left on the wayside. It felt good. Adding Pietnaskta's, "Tape Eater," made the footage come to life.
