75. Making FilmFellas Cast 5: “The Epic Wedding”
In this behind the scenes Featurette of FilmFellas Cast 5: “The Epic Wedding,” we give you a sneak peek at the process of producing and filming our Webisodic Series.

For all you fans, Scott Lynch, producer of FilmFellas, shares lighting set-up techniques {and a few secrets} to achieve the perfect diffusion of light above our round table setting. With 6 cameras rolling during filming, including our circle dolly and Jib, Scott explains how we achieve a variety of different shots and our signature infinite background.

In the Background: our FilmFellas Chef Joe Dugan strikes an intimidating pose with a knife in his mouth. The Featurette ends with a first-time ever FilmFellas toast with our cast members: Steve Weiss, (FilmFellas Director) and Wedding Filmmakers: Patrick Moreau, Kevin Shahinian and Ron Dawson.

Shot and Edited by Matthew Byori Mann. Stills by Daniel Skubal. Filmed on location at our Zacuto Film Production Studios in Chicago, IL.

I just learned a lot here.. but hey, so expensive stuff.. I think I can do some DYI and come up with something similar don't you think?

    You're welcome! :)

Yeah you could definitely DIY this type of setup. For the soft box you could remake one using "tracing paper" which is a opaque material that can be found at most art supply stores, get the plastic feeling stuff (I can't remember exactly what it's called), and then you can make the "box part with black foam core.

For the light you could use a bright flood work light that you can get for 30-50 dollars at a hardware store.

Just be careful you test your DIY setup so you don't start a fire!

That's one of the nice things about buying a chimera it's made out of flame-retardant material that's really hard to burn. And it doesn't fall apart as easy as a DIY setup.

scott Hi just to tell you taht I found the Parchment Paper same paper used for cooking in an oven oworks better than to work better with hihg temperatures
I think so.. Don't know how tracing paper will react with that much heat..
    Thanks again scott.
