On July 28, 2009, Colin Abercrombie & Leor Pantilat completed the Ptarmigan Traverse in the North Cascades of Washington State in 14 hours and 36 minutes from the Cascade Pass trailhead to the Suiattle River Road, the new fastest known time for the route.
