Background so far

This is a very quick clip of how my background is coming together for the animation I'm meant to be focusing almost my entire second year on - this particular background includes a school playground in which children will be animated playing; a field, upon which a boy and his dog are going to be hugging and the roadworks on the end of the street, where two guys will be sharing cup of tea... the whole idea of this scene is to emphasize the fact my main character is alone...

Perhaps this needs more explanation in a better order...

My animation is called Friend, it is about a little girl ghost who is all alone - invisible to all alive in her world. She decides she wants a friend and the idea occurs to her that if someone died, their ghost could keep her company - so she tries to kill a bunch of people in really daft ways - but fails because she is a ghost and goes through everything she touches... It's a fairly happy ending though because she makes friends with a little boy who can actually see her (despite being still alive) - there's a backstory about him being a mental patient who almost died at some point and has since seen ghosts - something others around him like his parents took for schizophrenia...
