Hiya, my name is Solo. I'm an excellent obedience student! I know how to sit, down, and stay. I walk well on a leash. I'm an active, assertive young guy, so I need an active owner with some dog experience.

I love the water - let's go for a swim!!

SOLO!

Hiya, my name is Solo. I'm an excellent obedience student! I know how to sit, down, and stay. I walk well on a leash. I'm an active, assertive young guy, so I need an active owner with some dog experience.

I love the water - let's go for a swim!!

I'd like to have a big backyard with lots of toys for me to play with. One of the best things about me is that I'm the sweetest, easy-going dog around for playing with other dogs.
Although I am big, strong and energetic, I have a heart of gold, never take offense, and will try to be gentle with shy, smaller dogs. They think I am pretty special here, and I am! Come see!

Here's what Solo's "Personal Trainers" had to say about him:

If you’re looking for a playful companion and exercise buddy, Solo may be the dog for you! He’s a young adult, full of energy and raring to go. He knows “sit,” “down,” and “stay,” and is a quick learner. To be a well-mannered dog, Solo will benefit from additional training after he is adopted. He gets along with many other dogs and has enjoyed athletic play sessions with several dogs at the shelter. He loves people and will want to be indoors with his owner, going outdoors for long walks or runs and playtime. He enjoys playing catch and fetch with soft toys but needs to be supervised with them. He is an enthusiastic chewer, so the toys Solo has need to be the toughest types. Crate training is recommended for this boy when his family can’t be home with him. Solo has a strong and exuberant personality and will do best with a caring, responsible owner who will see that he gets lots of exercise every day, consistent handling, and continuation of training.

“This handsome boy just loves to work and learn. His incredible focus makes training fun for both him and his handler. He will be a great companion for someone who wants to explore and have outdoor adventures together."

- Patti B., Solo's Primary Trainer
