Talk to me - Forms follows mood. KISD short terme projekt supervised by Prof. Andreas Muxel
The relationship between people and things has always been filled with functional expectations and unspoken sentiments – emotion can also create functionality. Everyday objects, which were exclusively based on analog principles are now complemented with digital functionality and start talking to us. If we see interaction as a dialogue between human and object there is always a system feedback needed to understand the current condition of our artificial counterpart.
The object moves slowly in the lighting. It even seems to enjoy the light shining. As soon as somebody steps in front of the light and a shadow falls on the object, it reacts immediately with aggressive and nervous movements. It is rebelling, shivering, moving hardly up and down to get rid of the person who is disturbing it. The moment the person goes away and the light is again illuminating the object, it gets quiet again and restarts its smooth movements.
