The Film Gallery’s Performance at The Louvre on the 25th of January with participation by original Flux filmmaker Jeffrey Perkins using 16 mm film projection onto screens extending the human body.
Fluxus is an anti-commercial movement founded in the 1960s by George Maciunas.
Jeffrey Perkins is an American artist and filmmaker, who was working in the 1960s with Fluxus members. The Fluxus movement had an important impact on the history of the art of the XX century with their avant-garde performances. Many experimental artists of the period, such as Joseph Beuys, Yoko Ono and Nam June Paik, took part in Fluxus events.
