My eyes fill up as they watch it burn
As I watch the people line up for their turn
For a few seconds flat they would feel so free
A few seconds fell flat freedom on concrete
Some should wave but be not heard
But to climb down would just be absurd
But to fall or to burn? Or do nothing and choke?
To just end with a fall
And a thick dusty cloak
My poem is written about the people who jumped from the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. It is an awful event that should never happened and the poem reflects the sad sad decisions they had to make all for the Towers to fall in the end.
