This video is made up of footage shot in 2009 at the Roman town of Verulamium,
just outside St Albans in Hertfordshire.

This was a chance to try out my recently-acquired Canon Powershot SX1 IS — this is a compact ('bridge') camera capable of shooting 1080p video at 30cps.

I had decided to take some video inside the new mosaic cover building in Verulamium Park -- little did I know at the time that Verulamium Museum was celebrating its 70th anniversary with Roman re-enactors -- both civilian and military.

Note: this camera has a tilt and swivel screen.

One consequence of this -- being the first time that I had used it -- was that all the footage was about 5 degrees off horizontal and had to be 'levelled-out' in post ;-)
