This is a powerful interview in which Whitney Houston, singer and celebrity, talks about her battles with drugs and co-dependency. Raised in the church, she speaks about how she loves the Lord and would like to find the peace she had when she was singing for God in the Baptist church choir when she was a teenager. In the last part of the video we see her friend, Kevin Costner, deliver her eulogy at the Baptist church where she first sang for God.
I was profoundly moved by Ms. Houston. Seldom is Satan ever acknowledged these days. Whoever said that Satan's great gift is convincing people that he does not exist is most probably right.
We are always faced with choices, that is the nature of our lives. Whitney's mother speaks about Satan and the world when she tries to retrieve her daughter from a toxic situation. We have the choice to rebuke Satan and turn to God and, not to the world, for our sustenance. It isn't easy, of course, and in Ms. Houston, we see a gifted woman who struggled the last 15 years of her life with world pressures.
