I really like the movements and the way they "explode" !!
Two thumbs up. What program did you use to create them?

This is gorgeous, I could watch it all day.
I know this is just a test but I've never seen anything like it despite working with 3D programs for years.
Killer work as soon as colours come into the play!

Would you have any recommendation for something similar to this for Cinema4D, if you know of anyting?
  • Matthias Müller 4 months ago
thank you, i think there is no similar way to do this in c4d, since the render application i used for this (Krakatoa) is for 3ds max only. I dont know a lot about c4d but i think you can not handle that big amount of particles that easy in c4d.

    woww.. amazing..
what script did you used for change color by age??
    i love it..!!
  • Matthias Müller 4 months ago
did not have to use any script since i got into the beta of krakatoa 1.5 which offers a hole lot new possibilitys to edit the particle channels by a node based editor.

your vids are realy nice too :)

    AMAZING ! O___O
    Everything is perfect !
How did you learn to control particles like that ?
Are you self-thaught or did you learn with DVDs like CG Academy ?

    Really really impressive !
  • Matthias Müller 3 months ago
    thank you,

DvDs can help you get a technical understanding how to approach to something like this, i also watched some, however for the biggest part i am self-thought. The realy important thing is to have a good visuel perception, which i think is a long time affair to develop.

Thank you for this very fast answer =]

This is a way more impressive, you are only 20 years old!
I wish when i'll be 20, i'll control particles as you do, I've always found that particles can be really fascinating =]

I cannot thank you enough to reply, this is so interesting to talk to people like you who makes impressive videos !

Wish you the best for the future !
