Great stuff. Saw this post on CDM. Some great customisation there. Intrigued to know how you did this.. and i'd quite like a bash on the preset too!

Really impressed with the track focussing / flashing clip select buttons and some of the lucifer hacks - would have been nice to have had something this at a gig last week!

Intrigued to see what you get up to with MFL...

Cheers man, the flashing clip select buttons is a bit clunky cause if a clip ends naturally (not often with my sets as i always try and end with a loop so i can fade out or effect out when i want) then the light continues flashing as it only gets cancelled if the stop button is pressed, same happens that it won't update if you click stop via the mouse..... Would love to get the information of clip status out of Ableton but that's territtory i will have to wait till M4L, would've loved to try the beta rather than wait indefinitely but good things come to those who wait.... I'll hit you up with the set and preset (one relies on the other due to the midi mapping!) Just got to tidy it up and add some notes.....

Very Cool. I have a feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg. I had been playing around with simple remapping but this is on an entirely different level.

The deeper you go the harder it becomes, the only way to do it is with a pile of paper and detailed notes of what you've done and remapped, oh and the global variables get a little tricky at times....

Wow man, very impressed you did all this with midi mapping, very nice indeed. I've been playing around with Stray's APC templates and the monomulator. Your patch is almost a best of both worlds. Would love a go with your template as well if possible!

I've watched this three times and I still can't figure out how to setup my buttons like this. Sometimes it's really hard to hear your voice over the music. I would really appreciate a text file or some pictures on how this all ties together. Really looking forward to the presets. I bought Lucifer this week and I'm slowly figuring it out. Thanks again for the video, it's really inspiring me to use the APC40 for my DJ sets.

I joined vimeo to tell you what a good job you did on the setup of your apc40 I am soon to leave the cdjs behind just like a did vinyl and move on to my apc40 I think the setup you laid out is perfect and stretches really how far you can use the apc40!thankx and keep up the good work!! I am going to try and download bome's and get your setup rollin I might tinker with it a bit just for fun!

Hi all, the template now works with the latest versions of both Ableton Live and Bomes and will indeed work with the trial version of bomes so you can see if it works with your workflow before you commit to purchasing.... Note that currently whilst some of the elements of the template can be replicated in Max4Live much of the functionality is yet to be created, additionally the costs between bomes and max aren't comparable....

wow, you pretty much cleaned up everything that was wrong with the APC40, a brilliant device but limited in someways when it comes djing. but you've totally sorted that out! i would LOVE a copy of that preset if its not too much bother. I almost feel bad asking for it its clear to see youve put a LOT of effort into it.
