This is the very first episode of Pine View PrimeTime. It's pretty primitive, and the master tape has deteriorated over time, but I'm posting it in memory of Tom Krause.

PrimeTime started on a whim. One day after school, Mrs. Henry and Mr. Krause recruited me to videotape a middle school basketball game. After the game, Mr. Krause asked if I could edit a feature on it, and I promised him I could have it ready the next morning. He suggested the name "Pine View PrimeTime." I spent all night putting everything together, including creating the claymation intro, and the next morning the first show aired.

PrimeTime would not have been possible without Mr. Krause. He pushed to get funding to buy proper equipment, and even got a makeshift "studio" to be constructed in the back of his classroom. He encouraged everyone who worked on PrimeTime to take risks. And he would always let us stay late to work on PrimeTime, or the video announcements, and would often buy us dinner, and give us a ride home. Beyond PrimeTime, he was a mentor and a real father figure to me. When I watch these old productions, I think of him fondly, and miss him terribly.
