This video includes interviews with a number of participants on the 'Performing Geographies' workshop we held on 5th and 6th June 2011 at various locations in North Lincolnshire. Contributors include Programme Director Stephen Daniels, Sally Mackey (Central School of Speech and Drama), Iain Biggs (UWE), Nigel Stewart (LICA), Dee Heddon (University of Glasgow) and Mike Pearson and John Hardy (authors of Warplands). The event brought together researchers from a number of projects funded by the Landscape and Environment programme with other interested academic parties, creative practitioners, and landscape managers. The workshop involved visits to a number of sites which feature in the ‘soundwork’ Warplands by Professor Mike Pearson (University of Aberystwyth) and composer John Hardy, commissioned as part of the Impact Fellowship. In this video the setting is Julian's Bower, the turf labyrinth at Alkborough, looking out over Alkborough Flats.
