Back Pain - Sleep Issues
If you suffer from back pain, you already know how hard it can be to find get a good night’s sleep.
Lack of sleep can lead to restless nights, general crankiness, and more back pain. It’s a vicious cycle!
Doctor Joel Press, medical director of the Center for Spine, Sports & Occupational Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago says:
First you have to start off with the understanding that there is no perfect position for everybody to sleep in. Generally you have to listen to your body.
Many doctors tell patients to find a good sleep routine. When you don't get enough sleep, the muscles never get a chance to relax and you won't wake up feeling refreshed.
