We propose building an experimental black box environment that assembles locative media information. As a traveler enters the space, he hears a voice repeating in several languages: "and where are you from?" The installation listens and answers. Through web-scraping, crowd sourcing, and mobile media, this system absorbs information about the users home, together with his current location. Holographs of familiar images confront the traveler in the form of maps, satellite pictures, photos, and sound. The images blend, animate, and morph, letting the traveler construct a narrative about their "location", both current and past, creating an immersive environment of layered holographic projections. When another traveler enters and announces his home, a second identity begins to mingle with the first. Travelers leave echoes of their identity in this place and these echoes mingle with the identities of future travelers and encounters.
